This programme covers major events on the Welsh Highland Railway from the opening in 1997 to the first trains to Waunfawr in 2000. It takes up the story from the programme “Return to Dinas” which covered the history of the line and opening of Phase One from Caernarfon. A regular series of visits was made to the Phase Two site to record progress. The change from the abandoned route to the completed track are seen with test trains and finally the first passanger trains on August 7th 2000
