The End of the Line: Holborn viaduct closed on 26 January 1990, we visited it on its last day, to see service trains and rebuilding in progress.

Vintage Sunday: A special ‘filming day’ was prepared for us by the KESR, featuring matched vintage trains – the AIX with Maunsell green coaches and the ‘P’ with a mixed freight.

Testing 1,2,3,4!: Four steamers were put under the spotlight by Colin Wood and Company. 777 is seen at Derby, Clay Cross, Sheffield and Belper, 6024 at Litchurch Lane, Lapworth and Banbury, 60009 (+60009!) at Derby, Beighton and Dore, 71000 at Spondon, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Dorridge and Banbury.

Preservation News: D306 leaves the GCR, 40s at Bury, Hymek at Bury, Austerities at Bury, Swanage and Rolvenden, 1618 Mogul at Horsted Keynes, 76017 at Ropley, Jinty at Hammersmith, Diesels at Embsay and Ingrow and USA at Haworth.

No.9 and the Forth Bridge: 60009 at Bridgnorth and on test on the SVR, the Forth Bridge on its Centenary 60009 Osprey at Waverley, on the Bridge, at Haymarket and driver training at Burntisland.
